Built For The Barn

My husband and I built Workhorse Stable Manager, a barn management app for real working farms — the same hands-on operators I already serve with accounting services. Same name, same standard: built by people who actually do the work.

Why It's Different

I speak two languages: horse and business.

Most bookkeepers learn your industry from a chart-of-accounts template. I learned mine from the barn.

I co-manage Longstreet Farms, a quarter horse breeding operation — so I already know what a stud fee is, why boarding income doesn't behave like retail revenue, and what "busy season" really does to cash flow.

Full Charge Bookkeeper · Owner, Workhorse Financials

It's what someone once called me, and it stuck. I'm Jaclyn, a Full Charge Bookkeeper and owner of Workhorse Financials, a financial services firm built for the equine industry — accounting, payroll, AP/AR, and reporting for horse farms and the businesses that keep them running.

I don't just keep the books for farms — I co-manage Longstreet Farms, a quarter horse breeding operation, where I'm elbow-deep in breeding season, boarding schedules, and everything else that comes with running a working farm.

That dual life is exactly why clients hire me. I don't just do your books — I understand what's actually happening in them.

While my focus is the equine industry, my background also includes agriculture, automotive, and other owner-operated businesses.

Questions

FAQ

Do I need to be a horse farm to work with you?

Equine businesses are my main focus, but I've also worked hands-on in trades, agriculture, and automotive — including asset recovery and repossession, with a family background in that industry. If your business doesn't fit a neat category, let's talk anyway.

What makes you different from another bookkeeper?

I don't just study your industry — I live it. I co-manage a working horse farm, so when it comes to equine businesses, I already speak the language.

Do you offer catch-up or cleanup work?

Yes. Because catch-up projects can carry unexpected scope, I require a quick call first so I can give you an accurate estimate — no price-shock surprises.

Do you work with clients outside of Florida?

Yes — while I'm based in Ocala, I work with clients remotely across the country.

What is Workhorse Stable Manager?

It's barn management software my husband and I built for working farms — separate from accounting, but built with the same standard. It's live now with a 14-day free trial, no credit card required, at workhorsestablemanager.com.

How do we get started?

Schedule a free call. We'll talk through your business and what shape your books are in, and I'll recommend the right starting point.
